Welcome
to our neighborhood
Blue
River Valley Ranch Lakes Association has listed the information
below to make your time in the neighborhood more enjoyable.
1. Our website, www.brvrla.org
, has most of the information you could want, including resident
names & contact info, rules & regulations, board members
& meeting minutes.
2. The Gate operates throughout the year except for winter.
It can be opened manually if the power
is out (ask a board member for specific instruction). The
speed limit is 15 mph. Please watch carefully for children
and dogs.
3. We have one well for all 46 homes in the neighborhood.
Water conservation is very important. Occasionally we have
brief interruptions of electricity. This means the well pump
will not operate during these outages.
4. The Garbage dumpster & recycling center are included in the
monthly dues and are located off of Brook Ave: Take Brook Ave,
turn left after the third house. The dumpster is for normal
household waste. Moving and construction debris and
furniture and appliances should be taken to the dump. We
recycle all paper, glass, #1 & #2 plastic, aluminum and
paperboard (and small amounts of cardboard).
5. Each home has its own septic tank and the owner is responsible
for its upkeep and maintenance. The Association offers to
coordinate septic pumping each fall and gets a special rate with
one of the local companies. An email will be sent each fall
with sign up information and where to send the check.
6. Association dues are $75.00 per month and should be sent to PO
Box 31, Silverthorne, CO 80498-0031 by the first of the
month. Dues can also be paid in advance, either quarterly or
annually.
7. Each member has the choice of contributing 12 hours of work per
calendar year or paying the Association $200.00. We
encourage everyone to put in the 12 hours as it’s a great way to
meet your neighbors and explore the neighborhood.
8. The BRVRLA roads are plowed in the winter as part of the HOA
dues. Driveways can be plowed for the cost of $150.00 per
season and you should sign up and pay in the fall when the email
comes out.
9. Fishing Guidelines may be found in full on our website, www.brvrla.org
. We have 3 stocked lakes and ¼ mile of
the Blue River. Renters may fish in the South and Middle
lakes, but not in the North Lake. Renters’ guests may not
fish. Please wear a BRVRLA badge when fishing. Each
house may keep up to 4 fish per day.
10. Animal Control: All County rules apply – your dog needs to
be on a leash or under voice command and close to you. We
will call Animal Control when dogs stray around the neighborhood.
11. Trails & Horse Pasture: The trails around the lakes are
open to walkers but not to bikes. Be aware that our neighborhood
is also home to many wild animals, including moose, elk, deer,
bear, skunks, porcupine, beaver and lots of others. Respect
them and give them their space. Please pick up after your
pets – “poop bags” and trash barrels are provided for your
convenience.
There is a public trail head (through private property) just
outside the BRVRLA fence at the north end of Rainbow Drive (east
end of the north dam). It leads
uphill and connects to the Ptarmigan Trail in the National Forest.
The Association maintains a pasture and all owners are welcome to
keep up to two animals there at their own expense (see Livestock
Rules & Regulations on brvrla.org). Keep in mind that the
horse pasture is just that and not primarily a foot trail. Close
any gates that you use and please keep pets away from the horses.
Please
contact any neighbor if you have questions and enjoy the amenities
we have in our neighborhood.
